About Me
Hayden Ostrom Brown is the founder of Clothes for Good, Fiji’s first not-for-profit secondhand clothing initiative, launched in 2024. What started as a simple observation — that quality clothing was going to waste while affordable options remained out of reach for many families — grew into a mission to open Fiji’s first-ever op shop, where the profits stay in the community and give Fijians the opportunity to support causes they care about while doing their regular clothing shopping.
Expertise
At 34, Hayden brings a business background to the not-for-profit space, having founded Acquirely, a marketing company, and a BPO outsourcing business based in Fiji. That experience shows in how Clothes for Good runs: from driving around Melbourne, Victoria collecting individual donations from generous Australians in his van, to running sorting days that ensure only good-condition clothing makes it to Fiji, to packing and shipping more than 40 tonnes a year, to writing to government ministries to make imports more accessible.
For Hayden, Clothes for Good isn’t just about selling secondhand clothes — it’s about applying real business thinking to a social problem, and proving that sustainability and affordability can go hand in hand.
